What is a Daf Knisot V’Yetziot? A daf knisot v’yetziot is an official page of your entries and exits to the country.

When Do I Need One? Primarily, a daf knisot v’yetziot is required for Bituach Leumi purposes, for registration of an individual, a family, or a new child. It is also used by Israeli citizens who return from living abroad to determine their status as current residents of Israel.

How Far In Advance Can I Get One for Bituach Leumi Purposes? A daf knisot v’yetziot that you bring in to Bituach Leumi should be no more than approximately three weeks to one month old.

Obtaining a Daf Knisot V’Yetziot

A daf knisot v’yetziot may only be obtained at Misrad Hapnim. For an adult (over age 18) to receive a daf knisot v’yetziot, he must be physically present at Misrad Hapnim. One spouse cannot represent another. A child under age 18 should be represented by one parent. To get a daf knisot v’yetziot, you do not need an appointment and you can go during morning or afternoon hours (see below). You will need the passport of every family member who requires a daf knisot v’yetziot.

Get a number at the main desk on the first floor and wait in the big room to your left. When it is your turn, present your passport and the passport of all those you are requesting one for. You will then receive a daf knisot v'yetziyot for all passports presented. The first document is free, and every subsequent document costs 15 NIS.

As of July 2019, Misrad Hapnim is currently accepting only Israeli credit card as a means of payment for all services. Cash, checks and foreign credit cards are not accepted. If you do not have one of your own, consider purchasing a prepaid debit card at any post office. Having an account at the Postal Bank is not required.

Please note: If you need three or more daf knisot v'yetziyot printed at once, you have to make an appointment in advance. Use the online site myvisit.com. Use your Bituach Leumi 77 number to make an appointment for the רשות האוכלוסין וההגירה in your area for te'ud biometry. When you arrive at Misrad Hapnim, give them your 77 number, saying you have an appointment.

Time-Saving Tips for a Daf Knisot V’Yetziot

Getting a daf knisot v’yetziot is a trip that can take a lot of time. These ideas might help.

Start out early. Firstly, starting your day early can save you hours of waiting time. Getting to Misrad Hapnim right at opening time (see hours above) can mean waiting only 15 minutes instead of over two hours.

Go on your way to Bituach Leumi. You can stop by Misrad Hapnim for your daf knisot v'yetziyot on the way to the Bituach Leumi office, as they are around the corner from each other. There is usually a long wait at both Misrad Hapnim and Bituach Leumi, so to save time, you can go to Bituach Leumi to pick up a number for the line there while you wait at Misrad Hapnim. If you want to take care of both in one day, you will need to start out early enough to get to the Bituach Leumi office before they close at 12:30 pm. Bituach Leumi is open Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 am-12:30 pm.

Get one when you are there anyway. If you are visiting Misrad Hapnim for a visa application or renewal, you can ask the representative who is assisting you to print out the documents you need. Very often they will comply, and this cuts out a lot of needless waiting time.
